About the Role

As a Property Manager at Chabrin Agencies, you will be the primary point of contact between landlords and tenants for your assigned portfolio. You will oversee the day-to-day management of residential and commercial properties across Nairobi and surrounding counties, ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and landlords receive timely, transparent reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of 20–40 residential and commercial properties across your assigned zone. Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with landlords and tenants. Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and repair works, ensuring timely resolution and quality control. Conduct regular property inspections and prepare detailed condition reports. Handle lease preparation, renewals, rent reviews, and the lawful resolution of tenancy disputes. Ensure timely and accurate rent collection, follow up on arrears, and prepare monthly landlord disbursement statements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records in the company management system. Prepare and present periodic portfolio performance reports to your Zone Manager.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Land Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property management or a closely related role
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid Kenyan driving licence
  • High degree of integrity and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Active EARB or ISK membership
  • Experience with property management software
  • Working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act and the Rent Restriction Act (Kenya)
  • Experience managing commercial properties or mixed-use developments
