Field Officer
Carry out on-site property inspections, coordinate maintenance works, and serve as the first point of contact for tenants and contractors across assigned zones.
About the Role
As a Field Officer at Chabrin Agencies, you will be the boots on the ground ensuring our managed properties are well-maintained and our tenants well-served. You will work closely with Property Managers to handle the day-to-day field operations across your assigned zones in Nairobi and surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc property inspections, documenting findings with photographs and written reports. Coordinate with vetted contractors and artisans to carry out maintenance and repairs, verifying quality of completed works before approving invoices. Act as the first point of contact for urgent tenant issues in the field, escalating complex matters to the assigned Property Manager. Assist with tenant move-in and move-out processes, including condition assessments and key handovers. Collect rent receipts, notices, and other documents and ensure timely delivery to the office. Maintain accurate field records and submit daily activity reports to management.

Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Real Estate, Building Technology, Facility Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a field-based property, construction, or facilities role
- Valid Kenyan driving licence β ability to ride a motorcycle is an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding counties (Kiambu, Murang'a, Kajiado)
- Basic proficiency in smartphone apps for reporting and communication
Nice to Have
- Basic plumbing, electrical, or general building troubleshooting knowledge
- Experience with digital property inspection reporting tools
- Familiarity with the Landlord and Tenant (Shops, Hotels and Catering Establishments) Act
